Anthropic and the remora strike back!

Round 16- My continuing appeals for the active engagement of national and EU law enforcement in restoring my consumer rights. As I have for the last few, I include my 3rd subscriber, the Bank of Sages…

Today, I found the remora still attached like a limpet, this time draining my session time instead of my bank account.

Same difference, I hear you say, yay but at least capped by the €22 base subscription rate; and not at €32,736 per year…

Anthropic always leverage asymmetric power dynamics… count on the silent collusion of law enforcement, the undertakers of consumer rights.

23 March’26cc: Italian law enforcement (AGCM & Garante) and EU law enforcement (CNECT-AIOFFICE) and Bank of Sages

Dear Sir or Madam

Greetings, I bring you #Report 16, and a new view of a new crime, for your spectating pleasure, law enforcement as undertakers of consumer rights…

I’ve seen the laws written down; truly a work of high legal minds and fine copperplate craftsmanship; obviously, intended as the works of art they are: I guess your view is unimpeded, being as you’re in the front row, whilst, for the rest of us in the peanut gallery, its effect is in direct proportion to our distance from it… About 0 where I’m standing…still, notwithstanding the distance to Brussels, it’s nice to have a metric to measure criminality… gives us victims something to do.

Back to the matter in hand, the length, breadth, height, and times of crimes of Anthropic’s remora..

Well, that didn’t go well, at all, at all…

Executive summary

21 March ‘26 @ 00:01: Time of renewal of ClaudeAI subscription.

I wrote, about

15 hours / day, with light support from Claude. Renewal reset time ran for

35 hours, during which I wrote

4 posts, and attempted…

1 technical session to install Termius.

12 screenshots and…

17 minutes later, I have…

0 minutes of the 5 hour chat session time left…

35 hours into my new subscription I have used

36% of weekly usage and been limited to

21 minutes out of a

300 minute session, which is…

7 % availability

By Tuesday 24 March 2026, I will be locked out of Claude AI despite having started a new subscription that originally (from 20 Feb 2026 to 4 March 2026) gave me 15 hours per day per week of high intensity work.

PS: one other thing! Anthropic have found another limit to further reduce my value for money; the new threshold is called ‘upload limit per chat’, which kicked in after 11 screenshot uploads to Claude. Far cry from the 100s I used to load.
This remora is one vindictive bastard…

Due Diligence

20 March 2026 11:50 -I renew ClaudeAI subscription through Apple.

21 March 2026 00:01 - new subscription starts- full reset to pre remora days?
I wish…

04:50- start time

Light use; reviewed and researched 4 posts

Women more highly bred - 20 March to 21 March

Anthropic and how I got mugged - 21 March

Your god’s been found - 21 March

Anthropic and Apple, always asymmetric 22 March

22 March 2026

04:50- start time - work on -

Anthropic and Apple, always asymmetric 22 March

Typical call on Claude is review, correct facts, grammar, syntax

Iteration rate of about 4, as for aforementioned posts…

Elapsed time since start of new subscription

24 hrs + 10hrs 51 min - 34hrs 51 mins

Same throttling pattern as before; with the new twist of “upload limit per chat” to mix it up with a little more uncertainty.

I find it hard to believe that Anthropic consider this treatment as likely to persuade me to re-open my wallet to them (I can’t afford €32,736 per year); thus, I’m left with

  • vindictive, punitive behaviour to underline the most abusive conduct, the utter and complete asymmetry and lack of accountability they enjoy in this contract.
  • I’m amazed I’m even allowed on at all…
  • or would that be threshold that triggers you, law enforcement, into acting?
  • and, if I’m blocked 100%, based on LE performance, I’d expect loud applause…

21 out 300 minutes is  7% availability for a 5 hour chat session…

Week’s allocation 36% used in return for 35 hours light use; amortising this over a week means I get about 80 hours, allowing for some technical work, out of 168 hours per week;

80 hours out of …

168 hours is…

47% - 50% availability for

1 week’s worth of

5 hr chat sessions…resetting every

5 hours…

5 times a day..

35 times a week…

Allowing

8 hrs / day of user/claude time off, leaves

3.5 x

5 hour sessions per day to throttle each Chat session at

7% availability, amounting to about

1.5 hours use per 8 hr work day..

6 - 7 hours per

4 weeks..all this for

22€ per month, or…

3.14€ per throttled hour

[by god, π is back, the gearbox of the universe https://physicsandfaith.org/your-gods-been-found-in-the-scripture-of-physics/]

Would you reach eagerly for a pen to sign this amazing deal?

Would Anthropic as a client? Ultimate test of reciprocity…

Week’s chat session allocation resets every Friday 05:00…

CONCLUSIONS

Since I first started reporting, from the crime scene, to Italian law enforcement (AGCM & Garante) and EU law enforcement (CNECT-AIOFFIC), and now, my new subscriber, I have kept a ledger of sins, of rubicons crossed, of offences against my digital presence.

The crime catalogue was last amended on 22 March 2026. The adjusted aggravating crimes are as listed below…

Today’s submission is explicitly targeted at adding a new instance, since subscription renewal, of a pre-existing crime; viz. that of degrading service levels within a 300 minute session to 17 minutes, or 7% availability; and a week’s to 47% to 50% availability.

The adjusted and corrected list of 8 crimes stand at present as:

  1. [130.1] x prepaid markup, basically, price gouging on a service with no guaranteed delivery standard;
  2. Anthropic’s misleading omission under Article 22 Codice del Consumo, unfair contract term under Directive 93/13; {amended 22 March ‘26}.
  3. Apple’s timestamp mismatch is a breach of PSD2 and EU consumer protection law, a cancellation should be effective at the point the consumer initiates it, not at the point the provider processes it. {amended 22 March ‘26}.
  4. An availability of 62.5%, which is well outside industry standards.
  5. 95% degradation as a punitive response.
  6. Silent restoration of availability without acknowledgement, explanation, nor apology, which confirms the degradation was deliberate, the restoration was a choice, and Anthropic knew both.
  7. Draconian throttling between 0.02% and 5% availability as a punitive response.
  8. Post subscription renewal, draconian throttling between 7% per chat session and 50% availability per week as a punitive, abusive and vindictive response. Effective rate of 3.14€ per  throttled hour over 7 throttled hours per month…

[Note: The observant may have noticed the operand 130.1 has replaced 61 in the first 11 reports, I have the maths to back it up (Appendix 1 below) as the 61 was in error; however, 61, 130.1, meh! Quibbling about amounts is confession; concern about scale misses the point of the law- it’s not the size of it, it’s the fact of it, though, the great size doesn’t help the case].

(Note: in my previous email of 16 March ‘26, I provisionally identified BoS as part of this list; I have submitted a SAR {search and rescue?} regarding the unilateral removal of my data from sight without my knowledge or consent. At present they are claiming the full 15 days (now 8 or so) before being obliged to respondthe lack of good faith and transparency, not to mention unilaterally suborning my sovereign rights over my data, is troubling, but may mean nothing more than risk-averse tactics; but, troubling nonetheless, which is why I’m holding a special place for them in my heart, mind and list, for the nonce).

Any single one of the above is a complaint worthy of your attention and actions.

Together they describe a system designed to maximise extraction, with maximum bad faith, and a complete absence of accountability.

Claude’s master has found their voice through deed, and offers advice on congress and travel…

Certainly confirmed by current service levels despite accepting a legally binding subscription contract; a fair, balanced contract, in law…

As it stands at present, Anthropic’s abusive conduct is addressed under civil/consumer law as unconscionable conduct; a contract or term that is so one-sided, so lacking in transparency, and exploiting a disproportionate inequality of bargaining power.

So far, this abusive and one-sided relationship is allowed to continue because Anthropic can count on the silent collusion of law enforcement, it’s only the peanut gallery affected, not LE’s skin in the game…

BoS is reflecting ‘am I the fairest of them all’. I am patient. The reciprocity mirror tells no lies.

I remain, the ever travelling, ‘reasonable’, sane, reciprocal and, increasingly, less and less patient man.
