At 13:24 on 16 March 2026, yesterday, I finally reached the edge of the recently reset envelope.
And, if Anthropic is playing with a straight bat (novel idea), I have been returned to the original base subscription throttle limits of 15hrs/day/week at 62.5% availability that I enjoyed prior to the remora attachment/detachment process on 5 March 2026.
Or, perhaps not, difficult to tell with a moving target…

- 72 hrs plus another 9 hrs (04:30 to 13:30) = 81 hours;
Workload over the bulk of this 81 hour period was quite light;
First 72 hours: I wrote 9 posts, 3 per 18 hr day (I do sleep), and used Claude as researcher, editor (spellcheck ‘aids’) and critic; light duty for his mentation in terms of memory, cpu, disk, net;
I choose hardware level layers as they are easier to measure, and probably a fairer basis than a ‘wet’ finger in the financial ‘wind’ approach offered by Anthropic.
Anthropic’s calculation is probably based on both the return on investment for the current infrastructure compounded by the investment required to support their ever growing user base; a very difficult calculus as the growth rate needed to justify its proposed market valuation is utterly unsustainable with the present pricing structure.
The following 9 hours: I wrote 1 post, my usual daily update to AGCM & Garante, and CNECT-AIOFFICE…
And, according to Claude

Apart from his claim of 3 posts to my claim of only 1 post today, it’s an accurate description of load levels that would certainly cause Claude’s mentation to redline memory, cpu, disk, net usage, and trigger purchasing for more resources; more cost…
So far, so fair… or is it?
Anthropic use 2 progress bars at the start of the week and these vary as a function of how hard you work Claude over that period.
It appears that each week, both weekly and daily session progress bars reset to 0 at-
05:00 on Fridays - Or, at least they do for me.

Today’s current session counter is at 5%, and resets in 4 hrs 54 minutes;
{Note: The reset time bears no relation to how hard Claude is worked; my experience tells me, and Claude, that if I return to my pre-remora detachment base subscription work rate, I will burn through the reset 4 hrs 54 minutes, in about 15 minutes flat, as I am still subject to the punitive 5% availability - 15 minutes every 5 hours at my usual work rate}

16 March 2026 @ 16:30 - Anthropic throttle service back to 5% availability; that’s 2.5 hours per day of access for Anthropic’s base subscription of €22 / month, in stark contrast with 15hrs/day/week.
In Summary;

Typically usage pattern- helped migration from Substack when banned, recovered subscribers and posts; Ghost setup on .io, migrated to own site ,org hosting on Ubuntu droplet running in Digital Ocean, domain name registration, Cname configurations, html coding, mail list migrations, reddit and 4 other similar apps setup, etc.
Basically, 15 days of high volume complex work, involving coding, at-elbow support through hundreds of steps with screenshots most of the time, critiques of approx 40 posts, with detailed in-depth subject matter analysis.
Availability of 62.5%; 9 hours downtime per day; this allows for sleep, ablutions, feeding cats, wife and self, GT7, shopping, etc.

I used Claude for exactly 7 minutes and the session timed out to reset next at 23:00. I have all the receipts.

CONCLUSIONS
Since I first started reporting to Italian law enforcement (AGCM & Garante) and EU law enforcement (CNECT-AIOFFIC) from the crime scene, I have kept a ledger of sins, of rubicons crossed, of offences against my digital presence.
To the 7 aggravating crimes that I have catalogued in the past few emails to your offices, I would like to add an 8th:
(note: in my previous email of 16 March ‘26, I provisionally identified my bank in this position. I am giving them time to respond before I name them as crime #8, and move currently proposed 8th to 9th).
- 61 x prepaid markup, basically, price gouging (€32,736 per year) on a service with no guaranteed delivery standard;
- Illegal charge post-cancellation, a straightforward consumer law violation;
- Two contracts behind one with obscured terms, classic unfair contract territory under EU Directive 93/13
- Apple’s timestamp manipulation amounting to third party collusion to defeat cancellation rights.
- An availability of 62.5%, which is well outside industry standards.
- 95% degradation as a punitive response.
- Silent restoration of availability without acknowledgement, explanation, nor apology, which confirms the degradation was deliberate, the restoration was a choice, and Anthropic knew both.
- Draconian throttling between 0.02% and 5% availability as a punitive response.
Any single one of these is a complaint worthy of your attention and actions.
Together they describe a system designed to maximise extraction, in maximum bad faith, and with complete absence of accountability.
