Anthropic metrics and charge controls
Round 28- My continuing appeals for the active engagement of national and EU law enforcement in protecting my consumer rights.
Today, the Easter edition, I examine Anthropic’s dissociative billing structure and activity...
I report on how the type of activity has an effect disproportionate with the product and speculate…
far more satisfying and productive to speculate rather than engage with Claude’s dimmer cousin, Anthropic support…

Dear Sir or Madam
In today’s report #28 on 4 April 2026, I take a moment to contemplate the nuts and bolts of the time allocation structure used by Anthropic for their fixed rate subscribers, such as myself.
The ‘evidence’ I offer is informed speculation as the option of going to the horse’s mouth, Anthropic Support, is akin to going to its back end… horse manure…and there don’t appear to be any human agents in the loop…
Good Friday, and Easter in general appears to have brought a moment of calm, however it is only Saturday, the 2nd day after the weekly session reset.
The calm could easily be surface only, with an underlying burn rate that will leave me Claude less by Wednesday… which segues nicely into another! table…
This table shows where the data about session limits and reset times can be found…
- the main input panel typically is as shown below; a ‘reply to Claude’ prompt, ‘+’ symbol, mic and sound wave icon…

- the main input panel changes when the weekly limit is between ‘75% -100% reached’; and, for the only time, a view usage button appears;

- when the ‘view usage’ button is clicked, the main input panel is covered by a pop-up window with current session usage and weekly limits (all models)…
- the innocuous ‘i’ in the top right engages the remorseless remora…
- this is where I went wrong on 4 March 2026 and set off this wonderful series…

The table below summarises these three status indicators;
The relationship/s between the different status registers is inconsistent and often arbitrary…

For example,
- last Tuesday 31 March 2026, I was running at 98% “all models used” for over 15 hours of active conversation before being cut off…
- when it did cut, it was for 36 hours.
- the meter warns of nothing, then punishes without warning…
- the reset time shift from 05:00 to 05:59 or 06:00. Three different reset times across three observations…
- undisclosed, unexplained, shifting goalposts…
- rules evolve during sessions…
In my report #27 3 April 2026 I recorded the entity switch as evidenced by the…
- €13.91 charge from Anthropic PBC,
- not Anthropic Ireland.
A different legal entity attempting to charge a card I had blocked.
This is not a billing error. It’s a deliberate, concealed attempt to circumvent a block.
- I did not authorise Anthropic PBC to charge me…
- I have no contract with Anthropic PBC…
The block worked when I used the process the bank talked me through, however the record of it was removed, and only recent reinstated…
Which brings me, full circle, back to the Bank of Sages and their recovery of my transaction record, which I included in report #27, 3 April 2026…
While I have visibility of the briefly missing, 7th transaction record, it is not substantially different from the preceding six charges that Anthropic Ireland made in the 22.5 hour period before I blocked their charges…
I have no record of a very significant event in a typical client supplier relationship and no visibility of whether the block is still in place or not…
1 April 2026
The block was in place and denied the €13.91 charge from Anthropic PBC…
- the bank has visibility of the blocked payee…
- I don’t have visibility of the blocked payee…
Thus, I have no control over whether the…
- block stays in place, remains effective, expires…
- bank applies policies without my knowledge or consent…
This remains the minor operational clarification pending resolution…
CONCLUSIONS
Since I first started reporting, from the crime scene, to Italian law enforcement (AGCM & Garante) and EU law enforcement (CNECT-AIOFFICE), I have kept a ledger of sins, of rubicons crossed, of offences against my digital presence.
As has been the case for the last few reports, the list of crimes has been aligned with a means of recording achievements for each crime in the list…in order to encourage participation in this collaborative effort at executing the will of the EU…

#2 Misleading Omission Art 22/Directive 93/13
The events I described, with receipts, in #26, 2 April 2026, remains evidence of:
- The dual billing structure; Apple + Anthropic PBC via Stripe
- The remora charges continuing
- The entity is Anthropic PBC (US parent), not Anthropic Ireland Limited (the EU entity on my contract).
- Who exactly is billing me?
- Why?
- On what basis?
- For what?
- On what basis?
- Why?
- Who exactly is billing me?
Any single one of the 10 crimes listed above is a complaint worthy of your attention and actions.
Together they describe a system designed to maximise extraction, with maximum bad faith, and a complete absence of accountability.
I remain, the patient, billed but blocked man…
