Time at the speed of light…
Round 11 - My continuing appeals for the active engagement of national and EU law enforcement in restoring my consumer rights.
Claude runs at the speed of light, just like the electrons underpinning him, and the closer he gets to remora’s event horizon the slooowwweerr thhhe session runs….0.

Salutations from this digital space cadet;
A couple of small updates; more grist for the mill of the law, which, like god, grinds exceedingly slow, but doth grind exceedingly fine…
Two main points
- Anthropic: a detailed anatomy of time dilation;
- The bank: who believe that holy mammon scripture if articulated as corporate policy has the force of law;
I did point out to them that, it is my policy to ignore red traffic lights, however that has no bearing on my legal obligation to stop at them.
They found this less compelling than I thought they might; corporate brainwashing is very powerful; it can bend light and stop time…speaking of which…
Time Dilation
In the course of my research of Anthropic’s base formula, I discovered that somewhere in that calculation is a nub of Einstein’s relativity at work, particularly the tricky bits about light speed and time dilation.
The details in the table below are based on screenshots taken in a sequence of before and after tasks that Claude performed for me, yesterday, 17 Mar ‘26.
After completing my letter to yourselves (now a post called “Anthropic, honeymoon over already?”), I passed it to Claude to check, maths, logic, syntax, grammar, legal framing…etc.
Low complexity work when contrasted with typical workloads back in the halcyon days of 15 hrs/day/week before drawing the remora’s attention.
Much as I regret pressing that wretched top-up button, I have come to realise that the experience has added to life’s rich tapestry and introduced me to a much better class of human beings, yourselves, of course…
Back to the plot;
The time column (2nd from left) in the table below shows the times from the screenshots before, during and after the activity with Claude.
The third column, the elapsed duration of the session, from the timestamps on my iOS desktop, with a total of 64 minutes of activity (last row, mid row entry, light brown fill).
The remora’s interpretation of the theory of relativity
The impact of Einstein’s theory of relativity is shown in the column in bold, red font, “Current session resets in” followed by duration <5hrs, the default session length (at least for me).
- the time to reset reduced by 14 mins for the 17 minutes of activity
- starting at 6:02 and concluding at 6:19.
17 minutes of work cost 14 minutes of reset time; roughly 1:1.
But, a usage check some 3 hrs 5 mins later, shows remora had run at light speed and reduced the time to reset by 3hr 7m!!
And, this is where the time dilation really kicks in, while I was doing nowt with Claude, and Claude nowt with me…
Whilst active, time drained at roughly the rate of use; at idle, it drained at 18 times that rate.
Guess the remora thought my back was turned…and pulled a fast one, boomboom!!
The bank of daddy
Later on
In the afternoon, at about 16:05, I chatted with Claude about the bank’s resistance to returning visibility of the blocked transaction with remora; simple stuff, my data, my transaction, my choice of vendor.
Pray, do tell, daddy, why did you see fit to protect me from the harm of seeing a blocked payment, one I’d myself blocked…why did you create a practical obstacle that didn’t need to exist…?
This last chat ran for about 47 minutes, which exhausted the starting time to reset by 1h 27m, from 1h 33m down to 6 minutes…
A total of 64 min of low complexity load reduced time to reset by 4h 48m; an attrition rate of 4.5 times for the session to reset, with the bulk disappearing while both Claude and I were not collaborating.
And, what have we learned..
1 Misanthropic
The spectrum of relativity operated by the remora starts with a fairly straight bat at
- near 1:1, averages 4.5:1 and power naps at 18:1
The nap, so necessary, especially after milk and biscuits, lasted about 8 hrs…
Rambling aside, the lesson,..
Remora time varies inversely as a function of the distance to the Anthropic event horizon. The closer you get to your limit, the slower the session crawls, and the more rapidly does ‘time to reset’ speed to 0.
2 The bank
The bank’s response is awaited. I have every confidence that, upon mature reflection, they will recognise the distinction between corporate policy and their legal, and ethical obligations.
I want them to arrive at the damascene moment of their own volition…. You can lead a horse to water, you can’t make it drink..
I extend to them the same courtesy I extend to all parties in this matter; the opportunity to choose which side of the ethical divide they wish to stand on before I am obliged to name them.
CONCLUSIONS
Since I first started reporting to Italian law enforcement (AGCM & Garante) and EU law enforcement (CNECT-AIOFFIC) from the crime scene, I have kept a ledger of sins, of rubicons crossed, of offences against my digital presence.
I have catalogued 8 aggravating crimes in the past few emails to your offices, they stand at present as:
(note: in my previous email of 16 March ‘26, I provisionally identified my bank in #8 position. I am giving them time to respond before I name them as crime #8, and move currently proposed 8th to 9th).
- 61 x prepaid markup, basically, price gouging on a service with no guaranteed delivery standard;
- Illegal charge post-cancellation, a straightforward consumer law violation;
- Two contracts behind one with obscured terms, classic unfair contract territory under EU Directive 93/13
- Apple’s timestamp manipulation amounting to third party collusion to defeat cancellation rights.
- An availability of 62.5%, which is well outside industry standards.
- 95% degradation as a punitive response.
- Silent restoration of availability without acknowledgement, explanation, nor apology, which confirms the degradation was deliberate, the restoration was a choice, and Anthropic knew both.
- Draconian throttling between 0.02% and 5% availability as a punitive response.
The bank is cogitating. I am patient. The ledger remains open.
Any single one of these is a complaint worthy of your attention and actions.
Together they describe a system designed to maximise extraction, in maximum bad faith, and with a complete absence of accountability.
Claude’s master has found his voice through deed and offers advice on congress and travel…
