Ghost and Mailgun have a cosy arrangement.

Ghost’s newsletter function is hardwired to Mailgun’s API, making it impossible to use any other email provider for bulk sending.

Mailgun recently killed its free tier.

Always with the fuckery.
Always on the wrong side of the ethical equation.

Never tested by the gold standard of ”would I happy to be subjected to this shitty little deal?”

The result is that independent publishers are quietly forced into a paid subscription they never asked for.

This is platform capture dressed as a technical requirement.

Until I find a permanent workaround, newsletter delivery is disrupted.
